              Holiday Greetings!

It is hard to believe that November is already here.  The year seems to be going very fast and we are busy at work creating a wonderful learning environment for your children.

I have decided to add some photos of the children to help you understand what your child is doing in school and to give
you an idea of where your child might be moving next. The works on our shelves progress from easy lessons to more difficult lessons, and you will be able to see this progression in the photos.

I hope you enjoy seeing your child at work!

As the Holiday season approaches please take the time to review the November and December calendars.  We have many special events scheduled, as well as Life Celebration Days, camps and Spanish enrichment opportunities for your child. It is important that you keep track of these scheduled events.

In circle this month we will be learning about sorting and patterns, some new peace activities, and all about Native Americans. Your children will learn new songs, poems and music that reflect what they are reviewing in class.

As the cold weather approaches, please remember to dress your child appropriately - shoes, socks, boots, and especially coats,  some children may also benefit from hats and mittens.
In order to enjoy our outdoor time it is important for your child to be warm.  Please remember that if you desire, a pair of boots may be left at the school for those days when they are needed.

In late October, Ms Jocelyn and I attended a special conference about peace activities in the classroom.  Your child will be talking about "Love Lights", new Silence extensions, and Black Elk's Medicine Wheel Vision of Peace just to name a few of the activities we will be creating for our classrooms.

We wish everyone a very special Holiday season!  Thank you for your support and allowing us to spend this special time with your children.
              Ms Linda & Ms Jordan
