Welcome to our Doll page!
Three years ago, the Elementary class began reading "The Doll People" by Ann M. Martin. In this series of books, the students were introduced to a doll family and all the excitement and adventures they shared. In keeping with this theme, we introduced a doll family of our own to the classroom. And history began! Over the years our doll family has participated in many of our activities, they helped us to create family trees, they helped with our writing skills, and they have provided excitement and adventure as they have explored our school. They have helped us to create many memories. We have been introduced to many new friends and have learned about Native Americans, an Asian zoo, Wild Pandas and how they live, Ancient Eygpt and the pyramids, and this year they are taking us back in History to the Medieval times of Europe.
Of course along the way, we will learn about many different types of people, some of the jobs people do, and how they lived. Follow along as adventure unfolds and we learn more about the Medieval period in History.
And as some of you may know, the original doll family has expanded. This year their house is under a complete renovation, and we are anticipating its completion in Decemeber. The twins, Melissie and Elizabeth are getting married, and the cousins are expected to visit for the Holidays. We can't wait for all the fun!
Come meet our new friends!
