Welcome to the Garden!
The Garden Montessori School values and encourages the development of the child's sense of independence, self-discipline and confidence in a safe, supportive, culturally and academically diverse environment as guided by the Montessori philosophy.
Garden Montessori is a child-centered, parent-inclusive school that provides a stimulating environment that is very unique in that each classroom has two Montessori trained teachers. Garden Montessori respects children's differences and encourages them to make appropriate choices thereby becoming self-directed in their learning in order to develop as individuals and as members of their community. The school accepts children as young as 2 years 8 months.
The Garden Montessori School accepts students, faculty and staff regardless of race, national origin or religious beliefs. A racial and ethnic mixture is considered important to the health of the school and to the full social development of the child.
We are located in Southern Butler County, Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania; convenient to Route 19, I -79 and Route 228.

My daughter, Luci, recently graduated from the Kindergarten program and my son, Henrik, entered the morning program at Garden Montessori last year. We could have sent our children to any of the excellent schools in the Cranberry/Mars area, but chose the Garden where my children receive individualized learning programs based on their interests, learn via hands on activities/works and experience an environment where independence and self-directed learning are encouraged. The Montessori classroom is uniquely remarkable – kids are working independently in all areas of the classroom. The preschoolers are learning practical life skills – mopping, sweeping, preparing snacks for themselves, and even sewing! My oldest crafted a quilt in her kindergarten year that far exceeds my sewing capabilities - truly amazing! The older students are helping many of the younger children and working on geography, language, reading and math along with fine tuning their practical life skills. Our overall experience has been nothing short of incredible. I know the Garden Montessori teachers and aides love my children and are genuinely concerned for their well-being. They want my children to thrive and understand that every child works at their own pace. My oldest was heart broken to leave her Montessori family after Kindergarten graduation. She loved going to school each and every day and I thank the Garden for instilling her passion for learning.
